Join me for 35 minutes of nonstop first cutting alfalfa harvest action at Warren Dairy in Indiana! In this video Silver Ag Customs handles the mowing and merging while Sunset Farms brings in the forage harvesters to chop the crop and haul it back to the dairy. Silver Ag Customs is mowing down the alfalfa with their Fendt 930 and Fendt 828 tractors both equipped with Claas Triple Mowers. After the crop dries, they merge it into windrows using a John Deere 8220 with an Oxbo 2334 merger and a John Deere 8260R with an Oxbo 2340 merger. Once the windrows are ready, Sunset Farms takes over with two Claas Jaguar 980 self propelled forage harvesters equipped with Claas 380 pickup heads. The chopped alfalfa is hauled back to the farm and packed onto the silage pile by a John Deere 9630 and John Deere 9520, both fitted with Grouser silage blades. This video features drone footage, on-the-ground action, close-up harvesting shots, and some beautiful evening scenes from the field during the first cutting alfalfa harvest season in Indiana. Welcome back to Farmhand Mike! Today we're near Beltrami, Minnesota following a family farm during corn planting season with some serious horsepower in the field. Running side by side are two John Deere 9RX 710 tractors pulling 48-row John Deere DB120 planters along with liquid fertilizer carts behind each planter setup. This field stretches an incredible one mile wide and two miles long, totaling around 1,200 acres. Each planter setup was covering nearly 100 acres per hour while putting corn in the ground. In this video you'll see mostly drone footage showcasing the scale of the operation, plus a few inside-the-cab views to see what it's like from the operator's seat. Today we're near Arcanum, Ohio following two classic Case 2390 tractors as they work ground and plant soybeans. One tractor is pulling a 22-foot International disk with an Unverferth rolling harrow, while the second Case 2390 is planting soybeans with a 15-foot John Deere 750 grain drill. In this video I share multiple angles from the ground and air along with some history, specifications, and stats on the Case 2390 tractors that were built from 1979–1983.
