I recently attended 100 Years of Horsepower event at Renner Stock Farms in Belleville Illinois. There were many classic tractors out plowing and in this video I show a few clips I shot of their Versatile 1150 tractor pulling a 12 bottom plow and a Versatile 800 pulling a 7 bottom plow.

Corn silage harvest is underway for the 2026 season! In this video I am at a family dairy farm near Versailles, Ohio as Wuertemberger Chopping is custom harvesting corn silage with their CLAAS Jaguar 990 self propelled forage harvester. This dairy raises non-GMO corn, and this field has had some issues with corn rootworm. Some of the corn is starting to go down, which you will see as we follow the harvest operation through the field. Running alongside the CLAAS Jaguar 990 are two JCB Fastrac tractors. One is pulling a Penta DB50 demo cart while the other is pulling a Meyer forage box. Several additional Meyer forage boxes are being pulled by the farm's John Deere 8000 Series tractors as they haul silage from the field back to the dairy. At the farm, Wuertemberger Chopping is pushing and packing the silage pile with a New Holland T8.330 and New Holland T8.390, both equipped with front silage blades. The farm is also helping pack the pile with their Case IH Steiger 580 Quadtrac. This video has plenty of drone and on-the-ground footage showing the entire corn silage harvest operation from chopping and hauling in the field to pushing and packing the silage pile at the farm. Randall Bros. of Holgate, Ohio is installing field drain tile in a harvested wheat field, and in this video we get a look at the entire process from the air, on the ground and from inside the cab. The job starts with a John Deere 8RX 370 tractor pulling a Liebrecht trencher plow to install a 12-inch main drain tile. This is the first time I've featured a Liebrecht trencher plow on the channel. Once the main is installed, the crew uses a Cat 316F excavator to dig down to the main every 15 feet. Each connection is made by hand so the 6-inch lateral drain tile can be tied into the 12-inch main. From there, a Case IH 550 Quadtrac equipped with a mounted tile plow installs the 6-inch laterals across the field. Several other tractors and crew members stay busy laying out tile ahead of the plows and keeping the operation moving. There is a lot more involved with installing field drainage tile than what you see from the road. In this video I follow the operation from start to finish and explain what the crew is doing along the way. Corn Silage harvest is just getting started for the 2026 season and here is a little bit of the action. A Claas Jaguar 990 forage harvester is taking in 12 rows of corn with a mix of tractors and wagons hauling the silage back to the farm. Several Tractors working on the silage pile and I'll have a full video coming soon.

I recently met up with Frederick Harvesting near Regent, North Dakota at their furthest wheat harvest stop of the season. In this video we catch up with the crew in a 700 acre field as they custom harvest spring wheat with five John Deere S7 700 combines equipped with John Deere HDF40 draper heads. Keeping the combines moving are two John Deere 8R 370 tractors pulling Brent Avalanche 1398 grain carts. A fleet of Kenworth semi trucks and hopper bottom trailers hauls the wheat from the field back to the farmer's grain bin site. At the farm we watch the trucks unload into a Brandt 1390 HP grain auger powered by a Case 1370 tractor as the wheat goes into storage. We also get a quick look at an International 1256 hooked to another Brandt 1390 HP auger in the farmyard. This 26-minute video features plenty of drone and ground footage showing the combines, grain carts, trucks and grain handling operation as Frederick Harvesting works its way across a big North Dakota spring wheat field. Two International 2+2 tractors are hard at work making silage on a family dairy farm near Rudyard in Michigan's Upper Peninsula! In this video, we're watching a mixed grass and birdsfoot trefoil forage crop being harvested for the dairy herd. An International 3588 2+2 tractor starts things off pulling a New Holland 1441 discbine, mowing the crop and laying it into windrows. Next, an International 3388 2+2 tractor takes over, pulling a New Holland FP240 forage harvester and Richardton 700 dump wagon. Along the way, I share some history on the Richardton dump wagon, a unique piece of forage equipment with roots in North Dakota. The chopped forage is transferred from the Richardton wagon into an International Loadstar 1850 truck and hauled back to the dairy. There, an International 986 tractor equipped with an IH 2350 loader pushes and packs the forage into the silage pile. We also take a closer look at an issue the farm was experiencing with European skippers. These small butterflies can be mistaken for moths, and their caterpillars feed on grasses such as Timothy. The damage was easy to see firsthand in portions of this forage crop. Along with the story behind the crop and equipment, you'll see plenty of drone and ground-level footage of these classic International tractors still earning their keep on a working dairy farm.
