In September 2023, I had the opportunity to film Gleaner's special 100-Year Anniversary combine while it was on display at Northstar Hardware in Northstar, Ohio. As I walked around the machine, I wondered if I would ever see it doing what it was built to do—harvesting grain. Fast forward to June 8, 2026, and that opportunity finally arrived. While filming wheat harvest south of Pratt, Kansas, I spotted the very same Centennial Edition Gleaner working in the field alongside a Gleaner S97. Both combines are equipped with MacDon FD240 draper headers and are owned by Phersons Custom Harvesting of Rutland, North Dakota. It was exciting to see this special machine transition from a display piece into a working combine doing exactly what it was designed to do. Join me in western Kentucky as Hunt Farms harvests its 2026 winter wheat crop near Bowling Green using an impressive fleet of four tracked Case IH combines while another crew no-till plants double crop soybeans immediately behind the harvest. In this video you'll see three Case IH 9250 combines equipped with Case IH by MacDon FD240 draper heads and one Case IH 9240 combine with a Case IH by MacDon FD140 draper head. Keeping the combines moving are a Case IH 620 Quadtrac pulling a Kinze 1421 tracked grain cart and a Challenger MT865C pulling a Kinze 1100 tracked grain cart. As wheat harvest wraps up, another Case IH 620 Quadtrac is already in the next field no-till planting double crop soybeans with a John Deere 1910 commodity cart and John Deere N550 drill, showing how quickly farmers work to establish the next crop after wheat. During the video I also explain why nearby Hopkinsville, Kentucky has earned the nickname "The Batter Capital of the World," where much of the region's soft red winter wheat is milled into flour used for pancake mixes, biscuit mixes, batters, and many other food products. Wheat harvest and double crop soybean planting are happening at the same time in western Ohio! In this video, we visit Zimmer Farms south of Greenville, Ohio, as they harvest their 2026 winter wheat crop and no-till plant soybeans directly into the freshly harvested wheat stubble. Wheat harvest is underway with a CLAAS Lexion 8600 combine equipped with a MacDon FD140 draper head. Just down the road, the farm is no-till planting double crop soybeans with a Challenger MT738 tractor pulling a Fendt Momentum 32 planter set up as a 32-row planter on 15-inch row spacing. Most of this video was filmed from the drone as we go back and forth between the wheat harvest and soybean planting operations. I also explain what is happening throughout the video and how the farm is moving quickly from harvesting one crop to planting the next. Ten days after filming the original video, I returned to the field to see how the double crop soybeans were doing. Join me for the 2026 Fort Recovery Poker Run as I take my 2021 Polaris RZR Turbo S on a muddy ride through Ohio and Indiana! The poker run starts at the VFW in Fort Recovery, Ohio, and includes five different stops along the route. Heavy rain the day before turned the trails, fields, and mud holes into a huge mud fest. In this video, I bring you along for nearly 28 minutes of highlights and action from my point of view throughout the entire event. There was plenty of mud, trail riding, water crossings, and off-road action along the way. By the end of the day, both my RZR and I were completely covered in mud—and I managed to get the RZR stuck pretty bad before the ride was over! This is my fourth year attending and filming the Fort Recovery Poker Run, and it’s always a great time. The farm them comes by with their Cat 276B Track Loader and grapple to pickup and load the bales on a truck. I will have a full wide screen video coming in the future.
